Wal-‘aṣr (1) Innal-insāna lafī khusr (2) Illal-ladhīna āmanū wa ‘amiluṣ-ṣāliḥāti wa tawāṣaw bil-ḥaqqi wa tawāṣaw biṣ-ṣabr (3).

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلْعَصْرِ

English: By time,

اردو: عصر کی قسم

Verse 103:2

إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ

English: Indeed, mankind is in loss,

اردو: کہ انسان نقصان میں ہے

Verse 103:3

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ

English: Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

اردو: مگر وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے اور آپس میں حق (بات) کی تلقین اور صبر کی تاکید کرتے رہے
